Berlin, 18 September 2018: The global coworking and coliving provider rent24 is taking a majority stake in its UK counterpart The Brew and thus now operates five coworking spaces in London all at once. The takeover ensures rent24 has market access in the United Kingdom. The new locations in the Shoreditch district of London will in future operate under the name “The Brew by rent24”. Robert Bukvic, founder and CEO of rent24 GmbH, said: “Despite Brexit, we remain convinced by the UK market. With its well-managed spaces and its strong customer focus, The Brew is an ideal partner for our ambitious expansion plans in Great Britain.” The plan is to open 45 spaces in the United Kingdom and Ireland in the next two years, which will provide members with over 30,000 spaces.
Andrew Clough, Managing Director of The Brew, adds: “rent24 and The Brew have the same goal: Providing our communities with added value is our top priority. So we’re looking forward to bringing rent24’s global network and technology innovation to the United Kingdom.” As the first coworking provider in the UK, The Brew has integrated its own catering concept into its coworking space, a café called The Coffice. In the future, members will be offered even more: “With rent24 we will continue to expand and in future we will also offer coliving services in Great Britain.”
rent24 is expanding both nationally and internationally. Besides expanding into England, the company has this year already announced the opening of new locations in Israel, the USA, Russia and Serbia. In order to network all locations worldwide, the company is currently developing its own blockchain platform PRIMARY. Members can use this platform to contact each other across borders and exchange services.
