rent24 Knowledge Hubs: a turbo boost for technical progress

Berlin, July 25, 2018: In addition to its coworking spaces, the global coworking and coliving provider rent24 is to open so-called Knowledge Hubs. These hubs will exclusively house companies from specific branches of technology and industry, such as blockchain or artificial intelligence. Access to the specialised locations is provided following a successful application or by invitation. This ensures the necessary technical competence and expertise of all members. “Our idea is to enable direct exchange and cooperation and to thus accelerate technical developments,” explains Robert Bukvic, Founder and CEO of rent24 GmbH. As a serial founder, Bukvic knows the importance of synergies and mutual promotion for young companies from his own experience.

Established companies benefit just as much as startups: “Startups often have innovative ideas and new approaches to overcoming challenges. The Knowledge Hubs connect companies of all sizes and thus become catalysts for technical progress.” Locations are created in cities in which specific industries are well represented. Seven Knowledge Hubs are planned all around the world by the end of the year, with a focus on Blockchain, Fintech, Health, Food & Retail, eCommerce, Deep Tech and Logistics.

First blockchain hub to open this autumn in Berlin

The first Knowledge Hub with a focus on blockchain will open this October at Alexanderplatz in Berlin on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 34. Over 7,700 square metres in size, the location provides a complete range of coliving and coworking spaces, its own gym and a restaurant. “This is the ideal location for our first blockchain hub,” says Bukvic as he looks forward to the new era of coworking. All worldwide Knowledge Hubs will in future also be linked via a blockchain platform, in order to create a global community of experts.
