New rent24 sites in New York City & Chicago

Berlin, July 19, 2018: The global coworking and coliving provider rent24 is continuing its expansion in the USA. The company has secured operating sites in New York City and Chicago through takeovers. rent24 is thus accelerating its growth outside of Europe. Robert Bukvic, CEO and founder of rent24, says: “US expansion is a high priority for us. We will open further locations there in the coming months, both through takeovers and new leases. We want to be represented in every major American city.”

With the takeover of “Office Port” in Chicago, rent24 now has three sites in the Windy City. The space the company has acquired is located at 9 West Washington Street, central and just a short walk from Millennium Park. Members will benefit from the best working conditions with open-plan offices, private offices, conference rooms, a kitchen, lounge areas and showers.

In New York City, rent24 is now operating its first site with the takeover of the former “Input Lofts”. It is located in the heart of Manhattan on 58 East 11th Street, not far from Greenwich Village and Union Square Park. The old facade of the building, which was built in 1900, stands in direct contrast to the modern interior, which, besides perfect working conditions, offers – as a particular highlight – a light and airy conference room with floor to ceiling windows and skylights.

Networking of all sites via digital platform

To link all locations on a global scale, rent24 is developing a digital platform based on blockchain. “We are using this platform to link the new spaces in the USA with our existing global network,” explains Bukvic. “In doing so, we are creating our first global community. All users can share knowledge and services in a transparent and comprehensible manner. Tokens, which are earned on the platform, can be redeemed at rent24 and all partner companies.” The platform will also be accessible to those who are not members of rent24 and by linking the real world and the digital world, it generates the first everyday usage of blockchain technology.
